Combined with the pending baby boom retirement and a lack of diversity in the workforce, the sector is faced with the loss of thousands of years of knowledge, skill and experience.<\/p>\n<p>According to Randstad Canada, over 75% of Millennials (those born after 1980) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.randstad.ca\/workforce360-trends\/archives\/are-you-ready-for-gen-z_148\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">want an on-the-job mentor<\/a>, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/business.financialpost.com\/executive\/careers\/like-it-or-not-millennials-will-change-the-workplace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Millennial generation will make up over 75% of the Canadian workforce<\/a> and customer base by 2028.
