Sheldon Patterson is the first NBTAP participant to earn a Red Seal. The Boilermakers Local 73 accepted Sheldon as an official apprentice upon graduation from high school after completing three years of pre-apprenticeship with Jacobs Industrial Services at the Irving Oil Refinery. He is the youngest person in recent years to become a Red Seal Construction Boilermaker at 21 years old.
