NB-MAP recognizes that no two workplaces are the same, so we provide customizable workforce and human resource change management solutions for employers through effective mentorship strategies.
NB-MAP (New Brunswick Mentor Apprentice Program) is a non-profit organization developed by the New Brunswick Building Trades Unions (NBBTU), in cooperation with the Government of New Brunswick (GNB), providing workforce solutions and human resource change management to the building trades.
Passing on skills and knowledge is what apprenticeship is all about. It is, therefore it is important for a mentor to know how to pass on their technical knowledge, professional attitudes, and behaviors to their apprentices. Mentorship is also increasingly important as workplaces become more diverse and inclusive, and research shows the millennial generation largely wants a workplace mentor.
The Mentorship Matters APPRENTICE WORKSHOP training helps apprentices buy into a learning culture in their workplace, increasing the quality of training and knowledge transfer leading to employee retention and safety for apprentices.
Mentorship Matters MENTOR WORKSHOP training provides teaching and coaching supports to journeypersons focusing o, and tools for supervisors to continually support on-the-job learning.
Our clients are forward-thinking employers and educational institutions of skilled tradespeople who understand that cultivating the next generation of the skilled trades workforce means investing time and training now is an investment in their future workforce.
“The partnership with NB-MAP is the perfect match to ensure the knowledge is transferred to the new generation to come.”
