Appointment of New MAPSWS Director

During the annual NBMAP Distinction in Mentorship Awards Gala in November, it was my pleasure to announce Hélène Savoie-Louis as the Director of MAP Strategic Workforce Services Inc.

Hélène joined the MAPSWS team in 2015 as the New Boots coordinator. Since then, she has been involved with both the New Boots network and the New Brunswick Mentor Apprentice Program (NBMAP) at all levels, from training, to sales, to event coordination, curriculum development, and many other aspects. Hélène has been at the helm of the organization since April 2018 as interim director and it give us great joy that she has accepted the director’s position.

Previous to her time with MAPSWS, Hélène came with years of experience in different post-secondary institutions. She has worked as an English teacher and a guidance counselor at the CCNB Dieppe campus, a research assistant for a national project under the Musée acadien at the Université de Moncton and as a co-op coordinator at the Co- operative Education Office of l’Université de Moncton. Hélène holds a Master’s Degree in Guidance Counseling from the Université de Moncton, a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and is currently enrolled in an MBA from the same institution.

We have many exciting projects ahead as MAPSWS moves into its next chapter with a new director. I would ask for your continued support. Please join me in officially congratulating Hélène for her new role with MAPSWS!
